Dr. Cara-Lynn Scheuer has occupied a variety of administrative, teaching and student services roles at Coastal Carolina University (South Carolina) since 2010. Currently she serves as Assistant Professor of Management in the Department of Management & Decision where she teaches courses in organizational behavior/teams, leadership, international business, business communication, and general management. Along with her faculty position at CCU, Dr. Scheuer also acts as a business consultant in the areas of leadership, diversity, teams and general management and is a board member for a local non-profit, Females Aiding in Mentorship (FAM). Prior to Coastal, Dr. Scheuer worked in the sports industry for companies such as Fox Sports, the Cal Ripken Experience, and the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. Collectively, Dr. Scheuer has 9+ years of experience leading teams and projects across a wide array of contexts. She earned a PhD in Business Administration (Management) from Saint Mary’s University (Nova Scotia, Canada), a MBA and Master of Sport Business Management from the University of Central Florida, and a BA in Sociology and Markets and Management from Duke University. In her spare time Dr. Scheuer enjoys wakeboarding on the Waccamaw River.
